Memorial Day is a day of remembrance of the brave and courageous men and women that served this country by giving ultimate sacrifice defending our freedoms and way of life.
Members of the Republican House Caucus, especially those who served this country (listed below), have and will continue to stand up for our fallen soldiers, our veterans, and our active duty men and women.
Rep. John Szoka, Retired Lt. Colonel, US Army, 1976-1996, stated “This holiday weekend is a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice the men and women from all across this country make to protect our freedoms. I challenge all North Carolinians to reflect on the losses endured by families in the name of liberty every waking day, instead of just this weekend.”
It is important to remember that Memorial Day is not just a day to fire up the grill but to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and freedoms.
